Emran Ahmad Riyaz did his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi in 1988. The same year he joined Digital Communications as Design & Development Engineer for 1000 line digital PBX. Later he became a key member in developing a full scale radio paging infrastructure in Pakistan.
In 1994, he was designated National Manager, Technical Operatios for Digital Radio Paging and was responsible for looking after nationwide technical setup. During this period he also conducted technical planning and deployment of FM radio stations and MMDS based wireless cable infrastructure, first of there kind in the country.
In 1996, he joined CresSoft, heading the development center at Karachi which served US based clients like MCI, Time Warner, Philips North America, and North West Airlines.
In 1997, he formed VectraCom Technologies, a company dedicated to design and develop wireless messaging solutions. During this period he also served as Strategic Technology Consultant for DRPL, FM100 and SPTV.
In 1999, he founded VectraCom (Pvt.) Limited as Wireless Application Services company and is heading it as the CEO and Chief Architect till date. |
